The Health & Community Services Complaints Act was proclaimed on 3 October 2005. The HCSCC covers health and community services in the public, private and community sectors. The Board is in the process of approving protocols with the HCSCC that will enable referral of complaints against registrants between both parties to take place efficiently and in accordance with the respective legislation.
The Board will continue to investigate and inquire into complaints of unprofessional conduct and fitness to practice (which includes incompetence, physical and mental incapacity). The HCSCC website can be viewed at www.hcscc.sa.gov.au
