The Board wishes to remind all registered chiropractors and osteopaths of the requirements of Regulation 19 under the Chiropractors Act 1991 regarding the use of business/company names.
Regulation 19 states that: "A registered chiropractor must not practice under a name (whether a company name or business name) unless that name has been approved by the Board.". Penalty: $100 fine.
Please ensure that you seek the Board's approval (in writing - providing details of the proposed business name, address of the practice and name of person seeking approval to use the name) for any business or company name under which you intend to practise.
All such applications will be considered by the Board at its next scheduled meeting and advice will be provided in writing shortly thereafter.
