The Board has reviewed its DRAFT policy for registered chiropractors and osteopaths re: assistants in chiropractic or osteopathy practice, in light of comments received when the DRAFT policy was initially released for comment in September 2005. Given that chiropractors and osteopaths are vicariously liable for the conduct of employees, the Board is preparing this policy as a guide to the profession on the role responsibilities of the practitioner and the assistant, and tasks which may or may not be delegated to assistants.
