Elections under the new Act

The Chiropractic & Osteopathy Practice (Election) Regulations 2006 were gazetted on 4 May 2006. The election process for members to the new Board is therefore now able to commence, and the State Electoral Office placed a notice in The Advertiser on Saturday 6 May 2006 advising that nominations to the Board are now open.

On 11 May 2006 the State Electoral Office will post the notice calling for nominations to all registered practitioners.

A copy of the notice can be viewed by clicking on the following link: View State Electoral Office Notice (The Advertiser - Saturday 6 May 2006).

It should be noted that for this, the first election of Board members under the new Chiropractic and Osteopathy Practice Act 2005, the osteopath Board member will be nominated by the Minister. In future elections, the osteopath Board member will be elected in the same manner as the chiropractor Board members.

Results of the election process will be published in The Advertiser by the State Electoral Office, and also included on this section of the website.
