On 17 November 2008 the Minister for Health approved the Board's new Code of Professional Conduct and Practice which has been
revised in accordance with the provisions of the
Chiropractic & Osteopathy Practice Act 2005.
The Code sets out the rules of conduct which should be observed by registered persons in the provision of chiropractic and
osteopathy treatment and should be referred to regularly by registered persons, chiropractic service providers, and osteopathy
service providers. A contravention or failure to comply with the Code by any registered person or service provider will, of itself,
amount to unprofessional conduct.
The Code has been published in the Government Gazette and will be posted to all registered persons and relevant stakeholders in
January 2009.
